What I do

LX Software is a one-person consulting studio. I work with startups and small teams as a fractional CTO or CIO: senior technical leadership, architecture, hiring support, and delivery accountability without a full-time executive hire. I also take fixed-scope work: technical due diligence for investors, architecture reviews, and short AI prototype sprints.

My focus is AI, cloud, and microservices. The engagements are advisory by design, a few hours a week on a retainer or a scoped project, and I do not take full-time or interim roles.

What I have built

Evolve Sprouts is a digital Montessori training platform for families. Siu Tin Dei is a curated guide to activities for kids in Hong Kong. ai-cxo is an AI executive board that runs parts of a company through role-specific agents with tools, budgets, and approval gates; I run it on LX Software itself.

All three run on AWS with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and a monthly cost review. They are where the advice on this site comes from.

How I work

• Written decisions. Every recommendation comes with the trade-offs and the reason, in a document the team keeps.
• Small systems. The simplest architecture that carries the plan, and a clear trigger for when to change it.
• Fast iteration. Short loops, real data, and a release path from the first week.
• Plain language. Reports a board can read and a developer can act on.

Where and when

I'm based in Hong Kong. Calls are early morning or evening Hong Kong time, which is daytime in Europe and the Gulf; the rest of the week runs async in your tools. English is the working language; the site's WeChat page is there for Chinese-speaking founders who prefer that channel.
